14 nights Kenyan Safari & Coastal Holiday

Day One:
Check inHeathrow Terminal 4 – 19:25 – BA065
Time19:25 – BA065 – Departs 22:25 – Arrives NBO 09:55 over night flight arriving into Nairobi the following morning.

Day Two:
Hand in Visa application; carry on through immigration then collect luggage and clear customs. Met in the arrivals hall by "Game Watchers" our ground handling staff, please look out for your name on a board being held up by the driver.
Transfer to your Nairobi Hotel, The Norfolk Hotel for Check in.

After check in why not visit Daphne Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage situated at the Nairobi National Park, where you can watch the elephants playing and feeding with their keepers. Lunch at the Norfolk hotel at the famous long terrace restaurant, then onto the City Market for shopping. Back to the Norfolk Hotel for dinner & your overnight stay.

Day Three:

08:00 – 09:00 Breakfast at the Norfolk and check out. Collected from the Norfolk by the camp manager, Gavin, who will be driving you in a 4-wheel drive Toyota Landcruiser to Eselenkei, staying at Porini Camp 2 night’s approx. Approximately 3hrs drive away.

Porini Camp at Eselenkei is a remote conservation area a few miles North of Amboseli National Park. Porini comprises of 50sq. Miles of wilderness well off the beaten track, with only one private campsite holding 4 spacious, cleverly designed luxury tents. The accommodation is all en suite and is comfortably furnished with 2 double-bedded beds in each tent. As this is a private Conservation area the number of visitors is restricted to 8 per day, so the wild and unspoiled nature of the area is retained, and you will be in the unique position of experiencing the African bush without the intrusion of other visitors.

13:00pm Lunch at the camp then rest up, followed by Afternoon tea and a game drive.
16:00pm Game drive ending up with a sundowner on Olosinkiran Hill
19:00pm Return to camp, night drive on the way, shower and change for bush dinner.
20:00pm Drinks around campfire, followed by an evening meal
22:00pm Retire for the evening ready for your early morning wake up call

Day Four:
06:00am Wake up called courtesy of the "Crested Franklin’s"
06:30am Breakfast, full English bush breakfast to set you up for the day
07:30am Game drive through Eselenskei, via Masai Villages and onto Amboseli National Park
13:00pm Bush Lunch on the way back to camp reaching Porini around 15:00pm
16:30pm Maasai trackers escort you along the Selengei "lugger" (dried out riverbed) for game viewing and tracking on foot, giving you an insight into the Maasai way of life. Followed by Sundown’s at a suitable watering hole.
19:30pm Dinner at the Camp followed by drinks round the campfire.
21:00pm Night game drive using spotlights to try and locate some of the nocturnal animals returning to camp around 23:00 Overnight at Porini Camp.

Day Five:
07:00am Wake up followed by breakfast
08:00am Game drive around Eselenkei return to camp to collect belongings & load up
10:00am Depart from Porini return drive to Nairobi arriving around Lunchtime at Norfolk Hotel night stop

Day Six:
05:30 Breakfast
06:00 Road transfer to Wilson Airport
06:45 Wilson Airport for the 07:45 Nairobi to Samburu. (Approximately 55 minutes flight) followed by a 20-minute game drive from the landing strip through the reserve and onto The Samburu Intrepids. 27 modern, luxurious tented lodges all built on stilts with private views over the riverbanks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Early evening game drive followed by an evening meal on the open-air Riverfront dining deck, with a spacious lounge and bar area. Staying 2 nights.
Day Seven:
06:00am Early morning wake up with tea & biscuits followed by a game drive
10:00am Return to camp for a full English breakfast, rest up at the poolside or on the sunbathing terrace or pick up some post cards or shopping at the lodge shop.
13:00pm Lunch, followed by a camel & walking safari along the riverbank. Optional
16:00pm Afternoon tea you set off on the second game drive of the day arriving home for a well-earned drink at the bar, then time to change for dinner, usually followed by an early night!

Day Eight:
07:00am Another early game drive followed by breakfast
10:00am Transfer Nairobi to the airstrip for your flight to Malindi
13:00pm Check in Malindi flight
14:30pm Air Kenya flight to Malindi (1hour 15 mins) Kenyan Coast (arriving 15:45)
16:00pm Road transfer to Hemingway’s (20 mins) for your 6 night stay.

Hemingway’s: Ranked as one of the top fishing sports bases in the world.A beautiful resort, both stylish & luxurious, overlooking the Watamu Marine Park, with two fresh water swimming pools and an amazing alfresco dining area on the terrace overlooking the beach, which is used in high season.The service at Hemingway’s is excellent, and the staff are genuine and renowned for their friendliness. The afternoon tea is complimentary, and usually coincides with the return of the fishing boats. The coming and going of the fishing boats is very much a part of the daily routine at the resort. The hotel has 2 Dhows, which are moored at Mida Creek, and are used for daytime picnics, bird watching activities, and spectacular Sundown’s cruises. Hemingway’s is a truly wonderful place to relax & unwind after your adventures in the African bush.

Day Fourteen:
09:00am Breakfast - check out
12:00am Transfer to Malidi Airport for your return flight to Nairobi.
15:30pm Depart Malindi arriving into Nairobi at Wilson Airport at 18:30.
19:30pm Transfer to the airport for the British Airways flight to London.
20:30pm Check in
22:25pm Departing time

Day Fifteen:
05:15am Night flight arriving into Heathrow airport
