Have fun and enjoy a great samba show where “mulatas” exhibit the intricate steps of local dances and “batuqueiros” produce a delirium beat from exotic percussion instruments the world most famous mark of samba rhythm.

Located inside the Brazilian side of National Iguaçu Park, a walk is undertaken inside the sub-tropical forest during 45 minutes reaching the bottom of Salto Floriano. As from there an elevator goes up to the top of the falls.

Day 6 Half Day excursion to the Argentina side of the falls
Located inside Argentina's side of National Park. Transport takes visitors across the Argentinean border and ends up into the Parque National del Iguazu, 40 km away from the Brazilian border. Once in Argentina side, a walking tour on the falls. The view is magnificent, specially the one right on top of the Devil's Throat, reached by little boats leaded through a plotted water corridor on the edge or the basaltic plateau. The river down tours let people reach the San Martin Island surrounded by breath taking ambiance.

          Dinner at a local restaurant followed by the Bahia by Night Show
The show takes place in the 18th century colonial complex Solar do União which had it's own church, manor house and slaves quarters, in the old stockrooms and is a showcase of the Candomble; the manculelê, a stick and sword dance from the cane fields; the dance of the caboclo, an Amerindian hunting dance; capoeira, a martial art/dance of Angolan origin and the samba de roda, a spinning, swirling version of this exuberant national dance.

Day 8 Morning half day panoramic city tour
The lower city tour takes us to the quiet waters of the Itapagipe Peninsula where the first holiday residences were built. Now, a peaceful family district, life moves at a slower pace than the bustling upper city. Fishermen fish from dug out canoes, locals collect shellfish at low tide, schooners are at anchor, all protected by the famous Bonfim church, one of the most important churches of pilgrimage in Brazil. We continue to Monserrat district with its panoramic view of the city, a thriving market for local artifacts. Optional stop at mercado modelo.

Day 9 Full day private excursion to the Cachoeira Country side, lunch included
We leave the city behind and drive through the oldest farmland in Brazil. This is the land of sugar cane and tobacco plantations, peaceful colonial towns and busy country markets. We visit an experimental cacau plantation. We lunch in Cachoeira, a charming colonial town in a beautiful setting on the banks of the Paraguassu River and later taker a walking tour of the town with it's many wood sculptors ateliers, bustling market (Wed, Fri and Sat) and visit the Sisterhood of the Boa Morte, a sorority which traces it's origins back to the time of slavery.

Day 10 Transfer to Salvador airport
          Domestic flight to Lencois (Wd & Sat only)
          Begin a 3 nights / 4 days program in the Chapada Diamantina Park
Day 1 : Transfer from airport to your pousada. Lunch and dinner excluded.
Day 2 : Full day trip by car or van to the Lapa Doce, Piratinha and Gruta Azul caves. On return we take a short easy climb to the top of the Pai Inacio mountain for the definitive view of the Chapada Diamantina Park. Great sunset from here. Overnight in Lencois. Breakfast and lunch included
Day 3 : After breakfast a short walk to the Serrano natural hydro-massage pools abd the the coloured sand caves nearby. Then a short trek to the Cachoeirinha, Primavera and Paraiso falls for a swim in these mountain pools. After lunch an easy afternoon trek to the Ribeirao River abd the Ribeirao do Meionatural water slide. Overnight in Lencois. Breakfast and lunch included.
Day 4 : Transfer back to Lencois airport. Breakfast included
Day 13 Domestic flight back to Salvador
          Collective transfer to Costa do Sauipe
